My Mentor's name is Lauren Etzkorn. I chose her since she was with me almost every day while I was volunteering. She trained me in many animals and taught me so much about them. She was very nice and helpful and would take time away from doing her job to help me with my volunteering. Lauren is very good with people especially kids like shown in the picture. She helped me decide that this is exactly what I want to do moving forward in my life and gain a better understanding of the animals not just on a book level but a personal level as well.
I also had another mentor, Ginger Earley. She has been in charge of my volunteer work since I started at The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. She was also in charge of my volunteer work at The Wilds. She has helped me get into different positions throughout the years such as Animal Encounters Village this year and The Shores Region last year. She has given me millions of opportunities to grow and gain more knowledge. She has been with me for many years and answers any of my questions I may have and helped me get farther in life.
