About Me
About Me:
My name is Nebraska-Lynn Hope Amelia White. I was born April 10th 2000 and will be graduating from Hilliard Bradley High School in the spring of 2018. From there I plan to attend college with a major in Zoology. I have volunteered at The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium for four years now and worked my way up into volunteering in Animal Encounters Village. I have also volunteered at the Wilds over the summer a year ago. I love animals more than anything and can not wait to continue down my path to have my summer experience as a career.
About My Project:
I volunteered in Animal Encounters Village at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium for almost 75 hours this summer. Animal Encounters Village is located in Jungle Jacks Landing and is an area where many people go to get a once in a lifetime experience with many animals right in front of them that they would not get anywhere else. These animals can be anywhere from a little Madagascar Hissing Cockroach to a Cheetah right in front of them on a stage. I spent the summer helping clean, do laundry, make the animals food, help out in shows, and the best part- getting a hands on experience with many animals and taking these animals out to the public so they can meet them.
